Reflections

Three things I am proud of:

1. We start class with a tangible example, rather reading the syllabus. Students get to work through this example to gain familiarity with the concept of preference profiles, allocations, and Pareto efficiency.
2. My outline for the course. I like organizing Unit 1 around defining efficiency, truthfulness, and fairness (equal treatment). I also like that Units 2, 3, and 4 each explore a different notion of fairness, and Units 5 and 6 are deeper dives into important applications.
3. The fact that I actually managed to find a durian and bring it to class!
